OUR HOUSE CONCERTS
Concerts at the Historic Cooper’s House is simply a name that we choose to describe our private parties, in our private home. These private concerts are NOT a business nor are they a business related activity. They are strictly a hobby for us, and are simply gatherings of our friends, neighbors and guests who enjoy listening to live acoustic music, friendship, food (a potluck table of appetizers, snacks and desserts) and fun. Our concert gatherings are officially free (or else it might be considered a business), although voluntary contributions (Pay What You Can – Pay What You Want – Suggested donation of $25-#5) are accepted at the party on behalf of the artists. We don’t sell tickets in advance and we don’t personally collect the money, we simply place a small “cooper’s barrel” on our kitchen table and people are free to contribute as little or as much as they would like of which 100% of the contributions goes DIRECTLY to the performers. Concerts are by invitation/reservation only. Please contact us if you would like an invitation to one of our future gatherings.
The musicians that we invite to perform are people that we personally know and that we have personally seen perform live ourselves. They are artists and performers that we truly love and wish to share their music and talents with our friends, neighbors and guests.

OTHER INFORMATION
We are a dog friendly house (we have 1), however they are seldom seen when we have guests at the house. The Great Room where the performances are held is an “animal free” zone plus we run a HEPA-filter in the room right up until our guests arrive for the concert.
Concerts are typically 2 to 3 hours in length including an intermission depending upon the number of performers that we have scheduled.
Recording of the performances (audio and/or video) is allowed only with the advance expressed permission of the artist.
Still photo and digital cameras are fine, however we request that there be no flash photography.
You are an invited guest in our private residence. We reserve the right to refuse giving an invitation to anyone for any reason. We also reserve the right to ask you to leave once you are here if you are disrespectful, intoxicated, talking during the performance, or otherwise misbehaving – and you won’t be invited back!
Children are welcome if they come to listen to the music. These are adult oriented events because some guests bring/drink alcoholic beverages during the house concert. Also the content of some songs or artists may be inappropriate for children. Bringing your child who loves music and listening to music to a house concert is great and encouraged, but providing a game or electronic device to keep them quiet or occupied is discouraged. We do not provide child-sitting services.
